Paul and Mary Anne Barnes and I left Monday afternoon for Houston and round 3. Paul is a great driver and I can't think of anyone I enjoy visiting with more than Mary Anne. Paul drove and Mary Anne and I talked. We spent the night at the Rebman B, D and B (bed, dinner, and breakfast). Mary Anne's sister and family hosted us to a feast. This could almost make chemo fun. All the procedures went well on Tuesday--blood work, Dr. Greene, and the infusions. I'm getting Taxotere, Herceptin, and Zometa. Back in three weeks for pet scan, etc, etc. We'll get to see how all this stuff is working.

The Mays clinic at MD Anderson where I go has more than its share of women of various ages walking around with scarves or hats or wigs on. Some just go for the shaved or very short look and don't cover their head up. Paul told us he thought the bare head look may work better than some of the scarved and hatted concoctions. Maybe I shouldn't worry so much when I start to jet out of the house to get the mail and suddenly remember I've forgotten my hair.

  1. I thank God that you are able to sit at the computer and work--and for your many faithful friends.
    Hope to see you soon,

  2. Hi Cathy, finally setup an account on this site! This is a great way to communicate to a bunch of us at once. I too am thankful you are able to sit and type. It is great to hear how the boys are growing up and now there might be girls involved?! Wow, they grow up fast. Curtis and I are praying and look forward to your updates. We love you and the family. -Lauren
