Another bit of good news. I am scheduled to Dr. Ueno (WAY-no) on July 29. He is the dr. doing the research with stem cell transplants for breast cancer patients. I had thought it would be fall before I'd get in to see him again. If a stem cell transplant is the way to go, I'd like to go ahead and get it going. In this procedure they would remove stem cells from me and then give heavy doses of chemo to try to kill any remaining cancer. After the chemo they would return my stem cells to me so I could build back up. According to Dr. Green it's a chance at a cure. 2 1/2 months in Houston with someone there with me and Randy with the boys in Garland still sounds daunting. Can't quite imagine how it'll all work out--maybe that's one of the reasons I want to get it behind me.
