Probably the most insignificant but humorous thing I learned in Houston the last few days is that I need to gain weight. And, I'm the only person I know that has already gained weight while on chemo. The rationale is I'll lose some weight doing the stem cell transplant and will need a little bit of a buffer--oh, bummer!
Looks like the stem cell transplant is a "go" at this point. I get the feeling that as things progress along you could get delayed because of this or that test result. But, all looks good at this point. I think the earliest it could start would be in about 5 or 6 weeks. I doubt that it will be that soon. As always, I'll know more after the next visit in 3 weeks.
I was wrong about Taxotere. I did get it this time--someone had done a typo on the schedule and put the wrong drug down. I THINK this is the last time for it (that's what the doctor said) but I noticed it's back on the schedule for 3 weeks. So, we'll see.....
