Hi Cathy. I just took a minute to look it up online and found a couple of sites that might be helpful in terms of suggestions. Hope these help you. Becca Pickens (RE Church)
Sorry I've not been keeping up with your blog. That's why I was so "ig'nernt" (in John Richard terms) of upcoming treatment when I talked to you. I'll try to do better! Love you loads, Karol
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED Words: Daniel W. Whittle Music: James McGranahan
I know not why God’s wondrous grace To me He hath made known, Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love Redeemed me for His own.
Refrain But I know Whom I have believed, And am persuaded that He is able To keep that which I’ve committed Unto Him against that day.
I know not what of good or ill May be reserved for me, Of weary ways or golden days, Before His face I see.
I know Dad experienced a huge change in his taste buds during chemo. Every round it was a little different. I do know that more acidic foods seemed to have the metallic taste worse than others. Just keep trying different things and don't let your weight drop. Dad drank a lot of Ensure when nothing else would work.
My mom used the cookbook that MD Anderson suggested while Dad was on chemo. It really seemed to help. The recipes are very simple and good. I cook from it regularly, now. Randy could probably be the chef around your house in no time with it! "Eating Well Through Cancer" by Holly Clegg & Gerlad Miletello.
