Testing

Blood work-up, pet scan, echocardiogram, sonogram. Thought I'd gotten the cues down about what kind of news I'd probably get. I got moved to the front of the "sonogram line" and quietly moved to another room (not good). She clicks that machine a million times and then says she wants the doctor to look at what she's got (really not good). But I was wrong. No signs of cancer in the lymph nodes and no metabolic activity in the bones (except maybe a fractured rib). Awesome news. Two more rounds of routine chemo, herceptin every three weeks forever, zometa for 2 years, possible stem cell transplant this fall. I think I got that all right. As Martha said, "After Dr. Green said we had the best possible result, who can hear anything else?"
